A SLOW DAY IN UNION SC

Well friends and family, it is Saturday, AGAIN. I don't know why I entitled this a "slow day" for nothing is slow any more.....!

However, this morning, I lingered at home reading and watching the news before coming to the library. Hope I put something on this blog that will encourage someone today. I heard from another friend last night that was in "turmoil" about what to do with her life....BUT GOD....now suddenly she has gotten clear direction and will be moving also to a new place (out of NC) within a few weeks. She has been in limbo for 3 years she told me and "suddenly" HOPE RETURNED and God is on the move on her behalf! WOW!

I was reading in I Thess. today and yesterday also. Oswald Chambers Devotional was quoting from those passages. Its a letter from Paul to the Church and it was encouraging to me. I am still excited about Buffalo Baptist Church here in Union SC and all of Union. Something is "up" in the air....like...ya know, but you can't explain? Tomorrow is Sunday and I can't wait to see what things God has in store for us as we go to "His House of Worship" to fellowship, learn, love etc.
Its got to be GOOD for HE IS A GOOD GOD AND LOVES US JUST THE WAY WE ARE!

(Do you think God loves our President? Congress? Local & State Leadership) ?

Wednesday night Our Pastor, Michael Wingertsahn, taught on PRAYER! Jesus said, "My house shall be called a house of Prayer! Through the years I think we have let this aspect of our lives slip in some ways. As a child growing up Wednesday Night was always called "Prayer Meeting", but as I grew older the church got away from Prayer and focused on other things. I am glad we are being reminded of the importance of prayer in our personal lives and corporately as a church. I used to "complain" about the status of the govt. etc. locally and nationally.....but....GOD
TELLS US TO PRAY FOR ALL THOSE IN AUTHORITY OVER US...."FIRST" !!! So, if He said to do that, there must be a reason for it even though we may not like how things are going presently and do not see any "hope" (especially in govt. right now) We MUST CONTINUE TO PRAY! It is of utmost importance in this day and hour we live. When I see President Obama on TV now I feel a "compassion" for him that I did not used to feel. God did that to me...changed me...by showing me his teaching in HIS WORD...THE BIBLE! I honestly did not "want" to pray for Our President and Officials, however The Lord has truly given me a heart of compassion that only could come from Him Supernaturally. I knew what the Word of God said....but just couldn't quite do it....but by His Grace and Mercy I can. So ask God to give you a "heart of compassion" for our President no matter what you hear or see or experience. Its the Word of God To Us as Believers TO PRAY! I am glad that our church hands out a list of prayer requests every Wednesday Night for those members, community, family members, who or what ever needs prayer and then on top of that asks for any more requests during the Wed. nite service. We are a "House of Prayer"....YES and AMEN !

  1. I needed to hear this!
I have not had a heart of compassion even though
I try to pray for our leaders.
    Thanks!
